Because July 4th falls on a Tuesday this year, we (along with lots of other folks) chose to celebrate Independence Day on Sunday the 2nd. The kids swam and shot fireworks. We had all the traditional cook-out fare – along with some new stuff – all of which was very good. It was a great and proudly stereotypical slice of Americana in the heart of flyover country. Happy Independence Day!
